At Keysoe RC we are inclusive and love to see everyone give the Area competitions a go and will try our best to encourage and support you.

The BRC NAF Five Star National Horse Trials Championships is a competition for both seniors and juniors, teams and individuals. The event consists of dressage, show jumping and cross country phases as well as roads and tracks and steeplechase for selected classes.

(please see below for which classes this applies to).

There are seven classes for members to compete in:

  • Senior HT80

  • Senior HT90

  • Senior HT100

  • Open HT100+

  • Junior HT80

  • Junior HT90

  • Junior HT100

At the championships the HT100 and HT100+ take place over three days as a traditional long format competition. Dressage is completed on the first day; The roads and tracks and steeplechase phases are in addition to the cross country on the second day with the show jumping on the third and final day. The HT100+ is at the same height as the HT100 in the cross country phase, but with the show jumping at 110cm - this competition is open to both juniors and seniors who are able to compete in a mixed class.

The HT90 take place over two days, also with roads and tracks and steeplechase in addition to the cross country phase. Dressage is completed on day one and then competitors will show jump before they embark on the different phases

on day two.

The HT80 classes are one-day events with no roads and tracks or steeplechase. Competitors ride their dressage, followed by the show jumping round and lastly they will tackle the cross country all in one day.
